This project is a fine example of the cohesion of design and execution which arises from a partnership and coupled efforts between architect and client. In this case, the client was able to fully articulate their wants and needs in a way that fueled and reinforced the architect›s vision. Consequently, the architect provided the settings for the client to lay the ‹gems› in the form of a private collection of artifacts and artwork.
Dar Noor Residence is comprised of a Grand Entrance, spacious living quarters, a study, a dining room, piano room, nine bedrooms, and an Arabesque sitting room with patio, all of which face the seaside. Multi-level terraces, also facing the sea, extend from the structure and serve as outside event areas for the family. The residence also houses a lower arcade and home theater.
The grounds are comprised of a lush palm grove and are dotted with gazebos. In addition to a large main kitchen and ancillary buildings, the property holds indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a tennis court, and a private marina.
